2. What is your recruitment process?

The first step in our recruitment process is to commence an initial phone screening with an applicant. We do this to gauge if you are suitable to be considered for an interview. If successful in the phone screening, we would progress you to an interview which may be a phone, video or face to face interview. Upon the completion of a successful interview, we conduct at least two work related references prior to offering an applicant a position.

3. Do you offer in-house professional development?

We have in-house induction and training materials which are part of a new staff members initial on- boarding process. Most of these materials and courses are mandatory and include courses on NDIS worker orientation, workplace health and safety and materials preparing you to work under the number of schemes we service.

We also have an in house online learning academy for staff to access for free. This online learning provides courses and modules for clinical staff and forms an integral part of your continuing professional development. All new graduates are assigned mandatory courses as part of their graduate year.

We also organise professional development days for our staff on two Saturday per year, one in the first half and the other in the second half of the year. These materials and events are all provided at no charge to the staff member and are over and above the $1,000 PD allowance they may utilise to further their own learning interests.

4. What core qualities do you look for in your candidates?

At Ritco, we are a family! We look for candidates that want to grow a career with us and not just a job. We offer flexibility and good remuneration along with training and support to achieve this. We prefer candidates that have good time management skills, can work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and take pride in high quality clinical work.

5. What sort of growth structure is available to an entry level graduate at Ritco?

Career progression is key to many practitioners ambitions. At Ritco, we have a 3 tier career progression graph. Entry level graduates commence as ‘Consultants’ and are usually under this title for two years, they then progress to a ‘Senior’ practitioner title which would include supporting students, providing some support to new graduates and taking on a more responsible role within the company. Talented ‘Seniors’ are then considered for a ‘Team Leader role’ which will include a larger component of clinical leadership, quality control and compliance monitoring for other staff.
