1. What qualifications do your Speech Therapists have?

All our Speech Pathologists’ are required to have a minimum of an Australian recognised Bachelor’s Degree in Speech Pathology. We also conduct police checks prior to their commencement with us.

2. How often do I need Speech Therapy?

Most client’s access speech pathology services on a weekly or fortnightly basis.

3. Why is Speech Therapy important?

For communication difficulties, weekly speech pathology has been found to have many beneficial effects for word formation, verbal and non-verbal communication. Receiving regular ongoing speech therapy for swallowing issues is also associated with a positive effect rate on swallow ability.

4. Are your speech therapist’s qualified in Alternative Augmentative Communication (AAC)?

Yes. We recommend all our speech therapists to complete an additional professional development course in AAC at the expense of Ritco. Traditionally over 90% of our speech therapists have willingly completed this course.
